Does it hurt?

Pain varies, but it is comparable to a tiny prick (the needle is smaller than an insulin needle)

What should I do prior to the injection?

Come with a clean face (no make-up)

Avoid use of alcohol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs - ibuprofen, Advil, Alleve, naproxen, etc.) 24 hours prior as this can increase risk of bruising

What should I avoid after injection?

Avoid vigorous exercise, bending over/forward, lying face down, compression (hats, headband, glasses), and facials 4 hours after injection
​
Who cannot get neurotoxin injections?

Individuals who have had an allergic reaction to neurotoxin
-
Individuals with history of neuromuscular disease (i.e. Myasthenia Gravis)

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals - Its effects have not been studied in this population
