What are GLP-1 agonists?

  • They are injectable medications used to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes 

How do GLP-1 agonists work?

  • They slow your digestive tract, increase satiety, and decrease hunger

Brand-names of GLP-1 agonists: 

  • Ozempic

  • Wegovy

  • Trulicity

  • Mounjaro 

  • Zepbound

Generic names of GLP-1 agonists:

  • Semaglutide

  • Tirzepatide

Potential side effects:

Most include gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation), fatigue, and other less common side effects. 

How are GLP-1 agonists administered?

  • A once weekly subcutaneous injection (abdomen, arm, or thigh)

Initial Consult ($99) 

Cost is $99 whether or not you decide to start medication treatment

  • 1 hour 1:1 visit with an experienced clinician with primary care background 

  • Review your medical history 

  • Review your social history (diet, exercise, stress, sleep, etc.)

  • Review your wellness goals and questions

  • Review lab results within the year, add additional labs that are missing

  • Discuss GLP-1 agonists, how they work, risks versus benefits, and determine if you are a candidate for GLP-1 agonist treatment 

Monthly Treatment

  • If you move forward with monthly treatment, your $99 from the initial consult will go towards the first month payment ​

  • Cost will be dose dependent:

    • Starting dose $300/month

    • Additional $100-150/month with each dose increase 

  • What this includes:

    • Medication & supplies (4 injections/month)​

    • Optional weekly visits with your clinician 

    • Optional weekly weigh-ins

    • Access to the clinician to manage side effects, questions, concerns, and dose adjustments
