Filler Aftercare & Expectations

  • Mild swelling, tenderness, and bruising can occur after filler treatment and is temporary​​

    • Avoid scheduling filler within 2-4 weeks of major events when possible

    • Avoid alcohol and NSAID medications (such as ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, or Motrin) for 24 hours before and after treatment unless medically necessary

  • Lip filler after-care that may help minimize swelling 

    • Avoid spicy foods, strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and sweating for 24 hours​

    • Icing may be used if desired

  • Healing and results

    • Avoid excessive pressure or massage to the treated area unless instructed otherwise​

    • Filler typically settles over the course of 2 weeks before final results are assessed
